I have two questions: (1) i am not baking my rice cakes but cooking all the ingredients on stove top. Is that allowed? (2) my main ingredient is canned coconut milk, is that allowed in CFO foods list? I plan to apply for Permit A. Thank you!
Canned coconut milk is permitted as an ingredient. The Health Department would need more information before a decision could be made on the product and its cooking method (i.e., Is the final product like a rice cake you would buy in a store? Does it use round, dry, puffed rice? How is it cooked on the stove?) Best to contact the Health Department directly to discuss before submitting your application.
